Inspiration from Shaun T to JUST PUSH PLAY!
Yes, Shaun T(hompson) from Insanity, The Asylum, and Hip Hop Abs was here in Hawaii, and I was one of the lucky ones who got to attend his awesome workout!
I had finished one round of Insanity at home, and just like the infomercial says, it was one of the most challenging programs I’ve ever done.
In my first go around I went from a size 12 to an 8. I did another 60 days and went down to a 4, and after Asylum, I’m now a 2!
My life has definitely started to change, inside and out. Needless to say I was a little star struck, and anxious to THANK the man LIVE, and IN PERSON!
I guess I took for granted the fact that when I just push play on the DVD player from the comfort of my own living room, I can hit the pause button, or slow my pace a little any time I feel like it. That day, having him right next to me, yelling, “Dig Deeper!” was a little intimidating. Not for long, though, because he was there for one reason – to push us to work as hard as possible, and he was so encouraging we didn’t dare let him down.
After we finished, he was nice enough to pose for photos with each of us. I immediately posted mine to my Facebook page. Why? Because I need accountability to Just Push PLAY, that’s why!
Now the world knows I want to get into the best shape of my life, so yeah, I guess now I will really have to live up to that, and keep on pushing play every morning.
Working out live with Shaun T was the wake up call I needed. Talk about accountability! He pushed every member of the group to give 110%. He walked around the room, got in our face if we needed it, and helped with our form and technique. He even sat with us at the end for a Q & A session and gave us great tips.
It’s too bad I don’t have him right next to me each morning when I do my Push Up Jacks or Pure Cardio, but until the next time I get to join Shaun T live, you can find me every morning in my living room, continuing to PUSH PLAY EVERYDAY!
