Are you tired and busy after a hectic day at work? Are you trying to stick to a budget that doesn’t allow for many “extras”? Or do you just enjoy working out in an outfit you feel comfortable in (as opposed to what looks good in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirrors at the gym)? If any of these sound like you, read on for my top 10 reasons to work out from home.
10 Great Reasons to Workout from Home
1. You lack motivation to go to the gym everyday
Sometimes it’s better to bring the gym home to YOU.
2. You want to save money
Home workout programs may seem more expensive up front, but just watch as your monthly gym membership payments add up month after month.
3. Your time is valuable
By staying home, you can workout whenever you want to.
4. You lack confidence
No pressure. No one will judge you.
5. You hate waiting for equipment
This saves your time and your patience – and you won’t have to worry about someone else’s sweat!
6. You love the idea of saving GAS!
7. You want to keep your eye on the kids while you exercise
No childcare expenses
8. You’re a multi-tasker
Throw in a load of laundry, put on a pot of stew, then go put on your workout clothes and you’re good to go!
9. You’re a beginner
Perhaps if you’re just starting out, you want to gain some confidence before showing up in the “real” gym. Your home gym is a great alternative!
10. You want to wear what YOU want to wear
No need to worry about the latest, coolest workout clothes, or even if your socks match! Just be YOU and as long as you’re exercising, who cares?
Working out doesn’t have to be a major chore. You can, of course, get a lot out of a gym membership. I still have one myself, and I do try to go as often as I can. However, since I’ve discovered home workouts I have been so much more consistent, I can workout on my own time, I’m more efficient, and my results have been great!
Bottom line is, do what works for you, and whether it’s at the gym or in your living room, as long as you’re working out, you’re laps ahead of everyone on the couch!
